Selective Detection of Minimum Smoke Stabilizers.

Abstract

This report provides a discussion on the use of an electrochemical detector on a liquid chromatograph. This detector, in the oxidative mode, is selective for the stabilizers and their degradation products found in double base and minimum smoke propellants. The linearity of the detector and the minimum detectable amount of each ingredient is also presented. The electrochemical data for 1.20V potential relative to an Ag/AgCl reference electrode are discussed in the context of a typical doublebase propellant analysis.
