Abstract
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is considering a hacking program in an effort to reestablish nesting populations of the American Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) in the Upper Cumberland region. The issue addressed herein is whether Dale Hollow Lake was chosen as a potential site for this project due to its proximity to other reservoirs which are also likely to offer suitable eagle nesting habitat. The issue addressed herein is whether Dale Hollow provides a sufficient food supply to support a successful project. The report also proposes recommendations for implementing such as endeavor.
