Distributed Systems Evaluation Environment: An Introductory Report,

Abstract

The Distributed Systems Evaluation Environment (DISE) is an in-house research program of the Rome Air Development Center (RADC) started early in the calendar year of 1986. It seeks to provide a computing environment that allows Center researchers the capacity to design, test, and evaluate distributed computing systems. This paper discusses the progress during the initial implementation phase, as well as discussing some future directions that we intend to take. Keywords: Computer Systems; Distributed Systems; Command and Control Systems; Distributed Operating Systems; Networks.
