Chemical Warfare in the Third World

Abstract

This report is a condensed and unclassified summary of a study that assesses the threat posed by the proliferation of chemical munitions and delivery systems among Third World nations. The objective was to describe the chemical environment and potential CW threat from Third World areas, assess the capabilities of U.S. military forces to cope with such threats, and explore the possibility that terrorists may employ chemical munitions in support of their activities.
