Theory and Applications of Random Fields.

Abstract

The main results discussed in this report include; (a) The modelling of rough surfaces via chi squared random fields, and a discussion of the analytic properties of chi squared processes and fields. (b) The distribution of the supremum of Gaussian processes, centering on tail distributions. (c) The relationship of (b) to the study of empirical processes and other problems related to empirical processes and measures. (d) The relationship between Gaussian and non-Gaussian generalised processes and Markov processes via central and other limit theorems for functionals of Markov paths.
