Engineers in Support of Light Forces.

Abstract

This manual guides the use of light engineers in a theater of operations, it covers concepts of employment, organization, operations and planning. It is a manual prepared from a maneuver force perspective and the terminology is in keeping with that point of view. It addresses how units are assigned and employed in the forward and rear combat zones, focusing on corps and light division in the operations. This manual sets the policies and procedures for light engineer commanders and guides light maneuver force commanders and their staffs in employing supporting light engineers.
