Rapid Prototyping System.

Abstract

Rapid prototyping is pursued as a means to develop and validate functional specifications prior to extensive code development in a large system. This report details and analyzes a strategy for rapid prototyping emphasizing these capabilities (1) a specification-level language, PSDL, which minimizes design decisions, (2) a library of reusable software modules, and a database system to aid in module retrieval and analysis, and (3) a set of interactive tools which aid in the construction and execution of prototyping experiments.
