The Military Family: A Selected Bibliography.

Abstract

A selected bibliography; 1987, now in its third edition, includes publications received in the US Army War College (USAWC) Library since 1982, as well as selected citations from the 2nd (1982) edition. The bibliography is developed for the Military Family Curriculum at the USAWC. This curriculum is designed to support the relationship between military family issues and military readiness, and then to provide students and their spouses the skills and knowledge required to manage unit and community programs now and in future assignments. In 1987, the Military Family Program emphasizes promoting wellness, developing a sense of community and strengthening mutually reinforcing bonds between the military and its families. The citations in this bibliography are arranged alphabetically by author within three categories: books and documents, periodical articles, and other bibliographies.
