Spectroscopic and Retrieval Studies in Support of SCRIBE (Stratospheric Cryogenic Interferometer Balloon Experiment).

Abstract

A FASCODE based physical retrieval algorithm for atmospheric temperature sounding is developed in support of data analysis for the SCRIBE high resolution interferometer using a modified version of FASCODE capable of treating highly opaque regions such as the CO2 Q branch at 667/cm, radiances are simulated for comparison to SCRIBE data and the effects of line mixing are evaluated.
