Heat and Moisture Transport in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer.

Abstract

The goal of this contract is the establishment of practical methods for the prediction of three-dimensional turbulent atmospheric flow over complex terrain, when environmental conditions at the boundaries of the flow volume are prescribed. Development is made of analytical and computational approaches to turbulent, stratified shear flows and complex terrain, with turbulent transport of latent and sensible heat. Keywords: Turbulent transport; Heat transport; Moisture transport; Latent heat transport; Sensible heat transport; Index of refraction fluxuations.
