Abstract

Joint State/Federal environmental impact document is concerned with a regulatory permit application by the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The proposed project involves construction of a dam across the Carmel River for the purpose of water supply (M&I), drought protection, and restoration of the environmental quality of the river.
