Preparation and Characterization of Members of the System (Zn,SE)1-xGaPx.

Abstract

Single crystals of members of the system (ZnSe)1-xGaPx were grown by chemical vapor transport using iodine as the transport agent. The IR spectrum of (ZnSe), 905 (GaP) .095 is not apprecialy changed from that of pure ZnSe; however, the hardness and stability towards oxidation are greatly enhanced.
