An Improved Computational Procedure for the Unsteady Doublet Lattice Method,

Abstract

A further modification and enhancement of the doublet lattice computational procedure is described. The theoretical basis for the new procedures used to integrate the unsteady Kernel function is covered in detail. A number of cases involving nonplanar and non-parallel lifting surface combinations are studied, and the results are compared with those of other workers. These show generally good agreement, although the predictions of the magnitudes of the forces acting on a tipstore and an underwing store do not compare as favourably. The present method has been implemented into the FORTRAN 77 program called DOULAT.
