An Ambulatory Surgery Service Feasibility Study at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington

Abstract

This feasibility study discussed the possible cost saving opportunities and improved utilization of the military health services system through the implementation of an Ambulatory Surgery Service. The author made recommendations about the organization and operation of the system. He also recommended that the future experiences of the Army Medical Center's ambulatory surgery services be analyzed, documented and reported.
