The Development of the Administrative Sciences Personal Computer Network Tutorial.

Abstract

The preparation of software documentation is an iterative process that involves research, analysis, design and testing. The author must possess a solid comprehension of the technical aspects of the document he or she is preparing, good writing skills and most important, an understanding of the needs of the audience for whom the document is written. This thesis chronicles the course of events involved in developing a tutorial for a computer network system. The final product is a prototype of a tutorial that reflects the comments and recommendations offered by users during the tutorial's usability tests.
