A Study to Analyze and Develop a Community Relations Program for Dewitt Army Hospital, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Abstract

An effective community relations program is the administrative program which can influence the community's feelings and attitudes toward the hospital. Hospitals and other health care institutions want consumers to view their institutions as a positive aspect of society which works to benefit the community. The purpose of this study is to determine a community relations model for an Army hospital. The author evaluates the current program, explains its problem, and makes recommendations on the implementation and functioning at a new community relations program.
