Abstract

A review of the historical origins of the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve and a look at their current structure introduce a discussion of the factors which affect the Air Forces. Implications of force mix changes and suggestions for improving the Air Reserve Forces are offered to our nation's decision makers.
