The Linebacker Campaigns: An Analysis

Abstract

This report provides a general description of some of the key events which preceeded the execution of the Linebacker bombing campaigns in the Vietnam War. The report analyzes the policy options available to President Nixon in his attempt to conclude the war. Further, the report assesses the two Linebacker operations from a political and military view, including their planning, execution, and impact on the North Vietnamese government.
