Calibration of the ARL (Aeronautical Research Laboratories) Rain and Icing Facility.

Abstract

A rain and icing test facility was set up at ARL in the early seventies to test anti-icing systems for aircraft engine air intakes. This report describes modifications made to facility to meet a specific test requirement and analyses the effect that these have made on its performance.
