Abstract

Military Manpower Statistics (MMS) is a quarterly publication generated from a computerized data base of manpower information. The MMS report consists of 26 statistical tables providing a variety of information on various aspects of Department of Defense (DoD) military manpower. In addition to summary data, detailed data are provided by Military Department or defense component, type of personnel (officer, enlisted), grade, and location. Selected tables are provided data on women in the military. Contents: Military and Civilian Direct Hire Civilian Personnel by Component (Excluding the Military Departments), Total Active Duty Military Personnel by Service, Active Duty Officer Personnel and Percent of Total Military Personnel by Service, Army Active Duty Military Personnel, Navy Active Duty Military Personnel, Marine Corps Active Duty Military Personnel, Air Force Duty Military Personnel.
