Productivity Measurement and Analysis of Airborne Weapons Maintenance Plans Performed by the Weapons Support Directorate, Pacific Missile Test Center, Pt. Mugu.

Abstract

The President's Productivity Improvement Program for the Federal Government, Executive Order 12552 of February 25, 1986, places a requirement that the Department of Defense show a 20% increase in productivity over a five year period, ending in 1992. Productivity is difficult to measure, especially when trying to measure the productivity of a service. This thesis develops a measure of productivity for one specific service. The service measured is revising Airborne Weapons Maintenance Plans performed by the Weapons Support Directorate, Pacific Missile Test Center, Pt. Mugu, CA. Keywords: Productivity measurement.
