Characteristics of Coherent and Incoherent Waves in Snow at Microwave and Millimeter Wave Frequencies.

Abstract

This final report summarizes our research findings in the study of the characteristics of coherent and incoherent waves in snow. We have conducted theoretical studies in dense media radiative transfer theory, backscattering enhancement, conventional transport theory and inverse scattering in random media. Keywords include: Snow, Dense media, Multiple scattering, Backscattering enhancement, Coherent wave, and Incoherent wave.
