Study of Photochromic Materials for Use in Optical Signal Processing.

Abstract

This report summarizes 12 months of investigation into the feasibility of using photochromic materials for programmable spatial filters and optical data storage applications. Write and erase times, optical density, and laser power intensity measurements were made. Keywords: Photochromics, Optical storage, Spatial light modulators, Optical filters.
