Risk Assessment Methodology for Software Supportability (RAMSS): guidelines for Adapting Software Supportability Evaluations

Abstract

The Risk Assessment Methodology for Software Supportability (RAMSS) was developed for the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) to provide decision makers with information from which the risk to the Air Force of supporting a software system can be derived. The purpose of this Guidelines report is to document procedures which adapt the current AFOTEC software test methodologies for use by the RAMSS. In particular, the procedures address the RAMSS concept of a user/supporter baseline estimate, and expand upon the application of the software life cycle process evaluation.
