Abstract

Department of Defense (DoD) policy, directed by Defense Environmental Quality Program Policy Memorandum (DEQPPM) 81-5, is to identify and fully evaluate suspected problems associated with past hazardous material disposal sites on DoD facilities, control the migration of hazardous contamination from such facilities, and control hazardous to health and welfare that may have resulted from these past operations.
