The Electrochemistry of Organophosphorus Compounds.

Abstract

This final report summarizes research on investigations of the electrochemical behavior of organophosphorus compounds. The electrochemical formation of ylides from phosphomium salt reduction is reported. Diphosphines from reductions of halodiphenylphosphines and diphosphine dioxides form halodiphenyl phosphineoxides were observed. Electrocatalysis of dioxygen oxidation of phosphines, phosphinites, phosphonited and phosphites is also reported.
