Real Time Data Base Management.

Abstract

Navy C3 systems have at their core a requirement for a significant software methodology for managing a massive command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) system encompassing land, sea, and airborne elements. Driving such systems are significant real-time requirements for tracking thousands of objects, discriminating the real threats among them, and tracking them by using an intelligent analysis of which objects are decoys and which are threats. The analysis is necessarily distributed and requires substantial data that must be consistent, always available, and accessible.
