Numerical Assessment of Rockbursting.

Abstract

A numerical approach for analyzing rockbursting phenomenon as a surface instability has been developed. Computer program modules that can be incorporated into general purpose nonlinear finite element codes have been created. The numerical approach has been successfully applied for a simple case of the wedge test.
