Research and Development Program to Develop a Nondestructive Evaluation Instrument (X-Ray Diffraction) for Measuring Residual Stresses in a Wide Range of Naval Aviation Material. Phase 2

Abstract

In the Phase II program a prototype stress analysis unit was designed, constructed, tested and delivered to the Navy that was smaller, lighter and easier to use than TEC's existing design. Also large number of residual stress measurements were made on components and materials of interest to Naval Aviation. Keywords: Residual stresses, X ray.
