NPRDC Papers from the International Symposium on Human Factors in Organizational Design and Management (2nd) Held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 19-21 August 1986

Abstract

Five papers by researchers from the Navy Personnel Research and Development Center are reprinted from the proceedings of the Second International Symposium on Human Factors in Organizational Design and Management. They represent a broad range of research, from exploration of new technologies to their implementation and effects. The topics include development and evaluation of a hand-held computerized training aid, testing of an automated survey technology, assessment of the impact of total quality control programs on job and organization design, methods of evaluating the implementation of organizational change, and a case study of organizational learning in relation to current theory.
