A State-of-the-Art Assessment of Automatic Name Placement.

Abstract

A literature survey is provided of all the recent publications dealing with this topic. Some good-quality experimental systems are currently available; however, considerable further development is required before a fully automatic name placement system will be available that approaches the aesthetic quality obtainable from experienced manual placement.
