Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide practical information for Noncommissioned Officers and junior officers assigned to company level leadership positions in New Manning System units. The research leading to these recommendations included a longitudinal survey of 12,000 soldiers, more than 800 hrs participant observation and interviews at every echelon within over 100 company-sized units.
