A User's/Programmer's Manual for TWAKE.

Abstract

A detailed description is given of the procedures required to initialize the computer code TWAKE for a class of surface ship wake problems. The code is a modified combination of variants of the CMC-3DPNS finite-element solver and is applicable to the steady, Reynolds-averaged, parabolic Navier-Stokes equations with a kappa, epsilon turbulence closure model. General descriptions are given of the computational model and the logical path through the execution modules. Samples are given of data resulting from all output units. The program has been executed for the given data on Cray, Hewlett-Packard, and Digital Equipment computer systems with identical results of 4 significant figures for single precision computations. Keywords: Turbulent ship wake; Subroutines. (Author)
