Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program. Transportation of Chemical Agents and Munitions. A Concept Plan.

Abstract

This document has been prepared for the U.S. Army to support the Final Programatic Environmental Impact Statement for the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program. This report includes the guidance and direction provided by a panel of experts knowledgeable in the safe transportation of hazardous materials. These experts were drawn from industry, academia, and members of the private consulting community. Sections 3.0 through 9.0 represent a transportation concept plan using the panel's guidance where applicable. The basis for this plan includes standing Army procedures and regulations regarding the handling and transport of chemical agents and munitions.
