Abstract
This research note identifies the training needs of the Idaho National Guard and Idaho Reserve units (the Reserve Component - RC), and recommends potential solutions to the problems discussed. Needs were identified through a written survey administered to Idaho RC soldiers, and through observing soldier performance during Active and Inactive Duty Training. Recommended solutions were derived from information obtained in follow-up interviews conducted with junior enlisted soldiers, noncommissioned officers, and officers. Keywords: Reserve component training; Inactive duty training; National guard training; Army reserve training; Front-end analysis.
