Methodology Investigation: Automated Analysis and Entry of U.S. Generic-Unit Data. Revision.

Abstract

The objective of this investigation was to accelerate simulation tests of U.S. Army communications-electronic system battlefield performance. The investigation aimed to partially automate the preparation of simulated generic unit data files and to create computer programs for processing data from U.S. Army Standard Force Modernization Data Bases. Selection and extraction of U.S. Army table of organization data from VTAADS data files was automated. A practical design for substantially automating the preparation of generic unit files was validated. Computer programs automated the data entry, data coding, and data quality control processes. The construction and maintenance of certain supporting data files, and the use of the computer programs, was recommended. Keywords: Electromagnetic compatibility; Electromagnetic vulnerability.
