Minimization of Squared Angular Error to Reduce Bias

Abstract

As a follow-up to the results of a previous publication entitled 'Two Dimensional Uncorrelated Bias in Fix Algorithms', DTIC AD-A189473, Mathematical Analysis Research Corp. has examined the replacement of the Weighted Perpendicular algorithm with the Minimization of Squared Angular Error algorithm. Standard modeled errors are discussed. Basic code for both the Minimization of Squared Angular Error and the Squared Sine of Angular Error are included. Keywords: Variance; Bias; Computer code; Iterations; Program speed.
