Chemical Preparation Laboratory for IND Candidate Compounds.
Abstract
During the reporting period sixteen compounds were synthesized and submitted for testing. These compounds can be considered modified nucleosides derived from ribavirin,m arabinoadenosine and deazaguanosine, while the other half of the compounds are based on phenanthridone as the skeletal structure. Compounds which remain under investigation are selenazole, ribavirin metabolites, triazole carboxamides and prodrug ester. A large scale preparation of ribavirin amidine hydrochloride is presently in the preparatory stage. Keywords: Antivaral agents, Triazoles, Alkaloids, Phenanthridones.
