Abstract

This document presents the final report on Phase I of KREME, BBN's Knowledge Representation, Editing and Modeling Environment. It includes a brief functional description of KREME, a test plan that describes how to load and boot KREME, and two sample KREME networks. KREME was designed to handle large knowledge bases, support experiments with knowledge engineering techniques, and implement a usable system for knowledge acquisition and maintenance. This document describes KREME's frame editor, macro editor, classifier knowledge integrator, and rule editor. Keywords: Knowledge representation; Expert systems; Strategic computing.
