Abstract

Northern Europe has been remarkedly stable since the end of World War II. His report discusses how certain factors-the-history, international relations, physical characteristics, and the present balance of military forces of northern Europe--have shaped the military environment of North Norway to make it unique among the theaters of military operations in the world.
