Abstract

The Hazardous Materials Technical Center (HMTC) was retained in April 1986 to conduct the Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Preliminary Assessment - Records Search of the 162nd Tactical Fighter Group (TFG), Arizona Air National Guard, Tucson International Airport, Tucson, Arizona (hereinafter referred to as the Base). The Records Search included: an onsite visit, including interviews with 28 Base personnel conducted by HMTC personnel, during 13-17 April 1987; the acquisition and analysis of pertinent information and records on hazardous materials use, and hazardous waste generation and disposal at the Base; the acquisition and analysis of available geologic, hydrologic, meteorologic, and environmental data from pertinent Federal, State, and local agencies; and the identification of sites on the Base which may be potentially contaminated with hazardous materials/hazardous wastes (HM/HW).
