Abstract

The Hazardous Materials Technical Center (HMTC) was retained in June 1986 to conduct The Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Phase I Records Search of the 125th Fighter Intercepter Group (FIG), Florida Air National Guard (ANG), Jacksonville International Airport (JIAP), Jacksonville, Florida (hereinafter referred to as the Base). The Records Search included an onsite visit including interviews with 16 Base employees conducted by HMTC personnel during 24-26 June 1986; the acquisition and analysis of pertinent information and records on hazardous materials use and hazardous waste generation and disposal at the Base; the acquisition and analysis of available geologic, hydrologic, meteorologic, and environmental data from pertinent Federal, State, and local agencies; and the identification of sites on the Base which may be potentially contaminated with hazardous materials.
