Abstract

The Hazardous Materials Technical Center (HMTC) was retained in April 1986 to conduct the Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Preliminary Assessment (PA) - Records Search of the 119th Fighter Interceptor Group (FIG), North Dakota Air National Guard, Hector Field, Fargo, North Dakota (hereinafter referred to as the Base). The Records Search included: an onsite visit including interviews with 13 Base personnel conducted by HMTC personnel on 28-30 April 1986; the acquisition and analysis of pertinent information and records on hazardous materials use and hazardous waste generation and disposal at the Base; the acquisition and analysis of available geologic, hydrologic, meteorologic, and environmental data from pertinent Federal, State, and local agencies; and the identification of sites on the Base which may be potentially contaminated with hazardous materials/hazardous waste (HM/HW).
