Optoelectronic Workshop 1: Phase Conjugation/Strongly Driven Atomic Systems

Abstract

This optoelectronic workshop represents the first of a series of intensive academic/government interactions in the field of advanced electro- optics as part of the Army sponsored University Research Initiative. The workshops are a collaboration between the Center for Opto-Electronic Systems Research at the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York and the U.S. Army Center for Night Vision and Electro-Optics, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. By documenting the associated technology status and dialogue it is hoped that this baseline will serve all interested parties towards providing a solution to high priority Army requirements. Responsible for program and program execution are Dr. Nicholas George, University of Rochester (ARO-URI) and Dr. Ruby Buser, NVEOC. Keywords: Workshop; Stimulated brillouin scattering; and Photorefractive material.
