Computing Exact Distribution of Customers in Mx/D/c Queues

Abstract

Bulk arrival queueing problems arise frequently in the modeling of vehicle loading and telecommunication networks. However, the solution of these problems has been historically hindered by the lack of efficient solution procedures. This paper discussed an effective numerical approach to solution, and show that it works well for all typical values of the model parameters, C and RHO.
