An Apparatus for Collection of Cerebrospinal Fluid in Goats

Abstract

A lightweight, adjustable, apparatus has been designed to standardize and advance the technology for chronic cannula implantation in Capra licrus (goats). The adapter facilitates cannula implantation, improves surgical procedures and enhances the probability of successful cannulation with minimal risk to the animal. This report describes the design, construction and specifications of the apparatus. Keywords: Surgical implantation.
