Microwave and Electron Beam Computer Programs

Abstract

This report discusses some computer programs available for addressing the physics of highpower microwave and charged particle beam generation and propagation. Codes range from simple lumped parameter models to detailed multidimensional simulations. Described here are the capabilities and underlying models of the microwave source, particle beam accelerator, and particle beam propagation codes. Although the more powerful of these programs can also be used for microwave propagation and antenna design, other programs specifically designed for these applications are typically employed instead.
