An Overview of the Navy Occupational Health Information Management System (NOHIMS)

Abstract

The Navy Occupational Health Information Management System (NOHIMS) is an integrated computer system developed to assist the Navy in meeting occupational health and safety requirements. The history and design of NOHIMS is described. Details about the system's various modules and their functions are provided. An operational scenario which demonstrates how NOHIMS can facilitate an occupational safety and health program at a Navy shipyard is presented.
