Is Naval Warfare Unique

Abstract

This report discusses the 'uniqueness' of naval warfare at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels and from legal and cultural perspectives. Author concluded that naval warfare has significant 'unique' strategic cultural properties but that most of the other differences can be found in other forms of combat, especially space and desert warfare.
