Abstract

The Joint DoD/Industry/NBS Conference on the Computer-aided Acquisition and Logistic Support (CALS) Phase I.1 Core Requirements was held at Gaithersburg, Maryland on 26 April 1988. The latest set of core requirements documents were introduced into the formal coordination process; in addition, presentations at the conference provided information about the status and plans of various government and industry CALS activities. The CALS draft core requirements documents introduced at the conference were: 1) Raster Graphics Representation in Binary Format, Requirements for; 2) Digital Representation for Communication of Illustration Data: CGM Application Profile; 3) Department of Defense Computer-aided Acquisition and Logistic Support (CALS) Program Implementation Guide; 4) Notice 1; Automated Interchange of Technical Information; and 5) Ammendment 1; Digital Representation for Communication of Product Data: IGES Application Subsets.
